OVERNIGHT OATS

– ½ cup oats
– ¼ cup water
– ¼ cup nut milk
– 1 tsp cacao
– 1 tsp maple syrup
– ½ tsp ground linseed
– ½ cup frozen mixed berries
– squeeze of lemon juice
– fresh berries and cacao nibs to serve

  •  Add oats, water, nutmilk, cacao, maple syrup and linseed to a jar and mix/ shake until well combined. Keep in fridge while preparing remaining ingredients.
  • In a saucepan, heat mixed berries on low and add a dash of fresh lemon juice, remembering to stir frequently. Once the berries have thawed and become hot, take of the heat and gently mash with fork before adding on top of the chocolate oat mix. Top with your favourite fresh berries and a sprinkle of cacao nibs, then store in the fridge for at least an hour before eating.

 

This is best made the night before so the oats and linseed have enough time to soak up more of the liquid. Great as a grab-and-go option for those busy mornings!
